We’ve had an interesting email from Yorkshire Cyclo-Cross regular Hilary Bloor, with news of a funding opportunity for younger riders. Here’s what Hilary had to say:
“My Dad was a keen cyclist, l’m not sure if competed in cyclocross but l’m sure it he would have enjoyed it, given he was a keen fell runner, climber and mountaineer. He passed away in 1984 and the family runs an annual memorial fell race on Ilkley Moor to raise money for the fund.
We award small grants to people who want to improve their skills in any given recognised sport. They just need to be U26, live in Yorkshire and be a member of a Yorkshire club or NGB.
We’re interested in expanding our sports into cycling (especially those disciplines outside the Olympics).”
