From August onwards you can generally find a local club that will be putting on CX skills training sessions.These are excellent to help you build CX skills. Below are a couple of suggestions. Killinghall Park, Harrogate
When: Thursdays starting at 6.30, finishing between 7.30pm-8pm, run by Insync Cycling. All riders welcome. Training sessions have started and will run until mid September. Sessions focus on technique not fitness.
Age: Minimum age of participants is 12. All under-16 riders must have a parent/guardian on site throughout the session.
Location: Young’s Drive car park off Penny Pot Lane, Killinghall, Harrogate.

Marley, Keighley
When: Wednesdays from late September, starting at 6.30pm, finishing at 8pm. Run by Bronte Tykes and welcomes all riders. Want to find out more? Why not just come along and watch a session.
Age: Minimum age of participants is 14. All under-16 riders must have a parent/guardian on site throughout the session.
Location: Marley Activities & Coaching Centre, Keighley, BD21 4DB
Cost: £20 for the season.
Hunsworth, Bradford
When: Tuesday evenings from September starting at 6.30pm, finishing between 8pm-9pm. Floodlit sessions run by Shibden CC. Riders are quite welcome to come along for a trial session. If you want to take part in further training sessions, you will need to join the club.
Age: Minimum age of participants is 13. All under-16 riders must have a parent/guardian on site throughout the session.
Location: Hunsworth Showground. BD4 6RN
Cost: Free to club members.
Forge Valley School, Sheffield
When: Monday evenings starting 24th August at 6.30pm, finishing 8pm-9pm. All junior riders welcome. Run by Sheffield Youth C.C.
Age: These sessions are only open to junior riders 16-18.

Wyke, Bradford
When: Saturday mornings from the 8th August starting at 10.30am, finishing 12.00pm. Sessions are run by East Bradford CC
Age: Sessions are suitable for children who are competent on a bike. From U10s through to U18s. All under-16 riders must have a parent/guardian on site throughout the session.
Location: Wyke Community Sports Village, BD12 9HA
Cost: £7 per session after an initial £10 fee to join the club.
Riverside Gardens, Ilkley.
When: Tuesday evenings starting in September. The floodlit sessions are tailored to CX training for all ages starting at 3yrs up to 14yr old and focus heavily on the art of dismounting, remounting, mini races and a dedicated taped course with off cambers. It’s designed to be fun and engaging for beginners and our older riders that are actively racing are tasked with more laps and challenging each other. Sessions are run by Youth lead at Ilkley CC.
Age: Sessions are suitable for children who are competent on a bike. From U8s through to U14s. All riders must have a parent/guardian on site throughout the session.
Times:
Beginners: 5.30pm – 6.15pm
Intermediates: 6.15pm – 7pm
Advanced: 7pm -8pm

Cost: £5 per session, discounts for Ilkley CC Members & sibling discounts also available.
