YCCA Summer Series Information.
This year we are pleased to welcome back existing Summer sponsor ElecOnline. We are also excited to announce the Trek Shop at Fox Valley as a new sponsor for the Summer Series 2019.
We have now got the draft final standings up for the Summer Series. Any errors needs to be emailed to ycca@hotmail.co.uk by the 23rd August 2019 to give us time to prepare for the presentation on the 30th August 2019. After that, we won’t be able to amend any records.
However the standings are based on the original race results which have now been finalised as the opportunity to query results from a race is only available for 49 hours from the date the results are posted up after each race – after 48 hours the results become final.
Time to push the FOX VALLEY TREK/ELECONLINE Summer series presentation evening.
We have booked The New Tyke, Thornton Road, Bradford,
BD13 3DG…….for Friday 30th August. 7.30pm.
There are no trophies for The Summer Series, but all the series prize money will be presented across the various category’s. As in previous years the overall standings will be based on riders top 5 scores from the 7 event series, and as in previous years we are planning to take the prizes down to recognise all who completed 5 events.
Many, many thanks to Fox Valley Trek & Eleconline for sponsoring the series, their support has made it possible to maintain a good prize list, despite participation numbers being down this year.

It’s also an opportunity to chat about the incoming winter season, we will let you know about any changes and the overall plans for what looks like a busy season

HOW DO I ENTER THE SERIES?
1) I have raced a Yorkshire CX race before, OR I am a new rider wishing to pre-register:
You need to pre-register to guarantee you are on the sign-on sheet by emailing the following details to ycca@hotmail.co.uk :
– First name
– Surname
– Gender
– Date of Birth ( in the format 00/00/0000)
– BC Membership number (if you have one)
– An emergency contact number (not your own)
– Club
– Current Category
– Existing arm number: please put ‘New’ if you are new to our series this year, or ‘Lost’ if you have lost your number.
Pre-registration closes on the 24th April. After that, just enter all your details on the sign-on sheet on the day.
Cost is £3 for Under 12s, £5 for U14/U16. £7 for Juniors and £10 for Seniors and above.
2) I am a new rider who has not raced with Yorkshire CX before – EVEN IF I HAVE PRE-REGISTERED.
NEW RIDERS SIMPLY TURN UP ON RACE DAY.
PAY A REGISTRATION FEE (£2) AND COLLECT YOUR NUMBER FROM THE NEW RIDER TABLE, before going to sign-on. Fill out the sign-on sheet with all your details.You will then keep this number until you change age categories. PLEASE BRING A VALID BC RACE MEMBERSHIP OR YOU WILL NEED TO PAY A DAY LICENCE.
3) I am an under 8/10/12 rider:
All under 8/10/12 riders will be able to keep their existing number for the Summer 2019 Series
NEW RIDERS SIMPLY COLLECT A NUMBER AS YOU SIGN ON.
Numbers are to be returned at the last event they attend in Summer. Again, there will be a £2 registration fee. This is paid with the entry fee at the Under 8/10/12 signing on desk at their first event and not at the new rider table.

ALL OUR EVENTS ARE CHIP TIMED.
CHIPS ARE WORN ON LEFT ANKLE UNDER YOUR SOCK AND COLLECTED A SAFE DISTANCE FROM THE FINISH LINE IN ORDER TO KEEP THE FINISH CLEAR FOR SPRINTS. PLEASE DON’T LEAVE THE AREA UNTIL YOUR CHIP HAS BEEN HANDED IN. DO NOT PLACE CHIPS ON YOUR WRIST, HANDLEBARS, IN YOUR POCKET OR IN THE CAR! A £20 CHARGE WILL BE LEVIED FOR LOST CHIPS.
NO CHIP WORN ON ANKLE = NO RESULT!
Please arrive in plenty of time to sign on.
All Junior riders and above will need a valid BC Race Membership OR PAY A DAY LICENCE.
Sign-on for the U8, U10 and U12 races will open an hour before each race.
For all other categories sign-on opens 1h 15mins before the race, so you have plenty of time.
Podium Arrangements: There are no podiums for the summer races, prizes are presented for the series at the end of summer.
